The fauna of the Russian Far East is truly unique. In our articles we especially dwell upon its most endangered species, the Amur leopard. However, animal rights activists have managed to stabilize its population and even established positive dynamics, it is still too soon to be optimistic. It is likely that the Amur leopard has become endangered because of human’s activity and not as a result of interspecies competition with a bigger predator, the Amur tiger. This big cat has a very delicate character and does not pose a threat to humans. People should return the favour to this gracious predator.
