Moscow Airports

In Moscow there are three airports – Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo and Vnukovo. All these airports are not far from Moscow.

All Moscow airports have several terminals, in airport complexes you can reach each of them by free airport shuttle buses or on foot.

Sheremetyevo Airport is an air hub for 3 main aviation alliances SkyTeam, Star Alliance; Oneworld (Finnair).

Domodedovo Airport is the Moscow hub for alliances: Star Alliance and Oneworld.

Rules

At present there are additional Aviation Security rules in all world airports. The Moscow airports have them too. That is why you should come to airports in advance to have enough time for all procedures before your boarding.

How to Get to Domodedovo Airport

You can come to the airport by Aeroexpress

Aeroexpress

A direct railway communication en-route the center of Moscow – Domodedovo is Open. Aeroexpress is a comfortable high-speed train. It goes from the Paveletsky railway station (metro station “Paveletskaya”). Travel time is 40-50 minutes. It’s better to use Aeroexpress because Moscow has a lot of traffic jams indeed. The Paveletsky railway station has its airport passenger terminal. Some airlines also offer to check-in and register your luggage at the terminal.

By Train

You can get to the airport by train, it has Aeroexpress route too but with many stops. It means that it will take you more time to reach the airport.

By Bus

From the metro station “Domodedovskaya” you can take buses to Domodedovo airport as well. Their timetables are as a rule from 6:00 am to 24:00 pm. But some busses have their twenty-four-hour timetable to Domodedovo International Airport.

How to Get to Sheremetyevo International Airport

You can come to this airport by Aeroexpress

A direct railway communication en-route the center of Moscow – Sheremetyevo is open. Aeroexspess goes from the Belorussky railway station (metro station “Belorusskaya”). Travel time is 35minutes.

The Belorussky railway station has its airport passenger terminal. Some airlines also offer to check-in and register your luggage at the terminal.

By Bus

From the metro stations “Planernaya” (40-50 minutes) and “Rechnoy Vokzal” (30-40 minutes). You can take buses to Sheremetyevo airport as well.

How to Get to Vnukovo Airport

You can come to the airport by Aeroexpress

A direct railway communication en-route the center of Moscow – Vnukovo is open.

Aeroexspess goes from the Kievsky railway station (Kievskaya metro station) to Vnukovo airport. Travel time is 35-40 minutes.

By Bus

From the metro station “Yugo-Zapadnaya” you can take buses to Vnukovo airport as well. Travel time is about 25-30 minutes.
